Overview

Sigiriya is one of Mysteries and Historical travel destinations in Sri Lanka located just 89 KM away from the Kandy city and there is massive Colum of Granite rock approximately 180 m high. According to the Archaeological department of Sri Lanka, King Kashyapa AD 477 – 495 who build his palace on top of this rock and decorated its slides with colorful frescoes but stories of mythology says that this rock fortress build by king Kubera (Elder brother of king Ravana) and after the powerful king Ravana take over this place from his brother and ask from the architecture Mayadana to renovate this rock fortress as a palace in heaven.

Today, Sigiriya Rock Fortress become a one of UNESCO listed World Heritage Site and prefect place to study that how ancient urban planning looked like.

Day 01 Arrive to Kandyan Kingdom
  • On arrival you will be met and welcomed by our representative and transferred to Sigiriya where located in the northern Mathale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka.
  • En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where house to the abandoned and wounded elephant including baby elephants brought from various parts of the island and in one place you can see lot of elephant enjoying the river bathing.
Day 02 Unforgettable Sunset and 360 View
  • Explore Traditional Village Safari by Local transport which they use in ancient time and see how they making delightful Sri Lankan food.
  • Evening, start to climb this ancient mysteries Rock Fortress Known as Srigiriya or Lion Rock (180M) and you will be surprise  by seen how they built a kingdom upon this massive Rock and wait until the amazing Sunset that blow your mind.
Day 03 Pidurangala Rock and the Last Kingdom Kandy
  • Early morning start to climb this beautiful rock for the Sunrise and the Pidurangala Rock is known as twin brother of the Sigiriya Rock.
  • Kandy was the last royal capital of the ancient king’s era of Sri Lanka until the British took control the entire country from 1815 and now, it’s become the UNESCO World heritage site and the second largest city of the country and the capital of the central province of modern Sri Lanka and it is situated at an elevation of 490 meters above sea level.
  • The Tooth Relic Temple of Lord Buddha become a UNESCO protected world heritage site and most visited tourist destination of the island.

Day 04 Sothern Costal Town Benthota
  • If you love to walk on the long scenic beach and you should probably select the coastal town of Benthota and on the way visit Spice Garden and they will give you an experience why people from all over the world preferred Sri Lankan Spices and Herbs.
Day 05 Explore Madu River, Sea Turtles and Benthota Water Sports Activities
  • Visit Madu River (Madu Ganga) and their boat ride will make you a special and remarkable experience and its estuary and the many mangrove islets on it constitute a complex coastal wetland ecosystem. It has a high ecological, biological and aesthetic significance being home to approximately 303 species of plant belonging to 95 families and to 248 species of vertebrate animals including crocodile.
  • Sea turtles are fascinating creatures that have been living in our oceans for millions of years and Sri Lanka is home to five out of seven known species of sea turtles in the world including the Green turtle, Olive Ridley turtle, Hawksbill turtle, Logger head turtle and Leatherback turtle.
